I just installed Rhino and was looking on their site for some guides before I started, I was looking to see what I thought of it for simple stuff like furniture and apparel prototypes... anyway they had a whole section for MECHAS, I thought you'd dig it e. The mac version isn't for sale yet but you can apply for the beta or whatever and get it free (which I did).
I know you're having fun in Modo but if your trial ends and you want to look for something cheaper then maybe check it out :D
