It's funny, conservatives got everything they wanted during the final years of Clinton and all of Bush's presidencies. Low to no taxes, completely unregulated business, completely open markets. Why are we not in the free market utopia that everyone predicted?
- LOL, exactly. You'd think people could look at the actual consequences of the policiesukit
- It is a shining example of how rich people who benefit from these policies get toady middle class people to carry water for them.DrBombay
- them.DrBombay
- This is the Free Market Utopia. Serfs and bankers with billions. We've arrived dude.********
- All that shit about "free markets lifting all boats"? Bullshit.********
- He who has, gets son. Rule #1.********
- I guess you fail to recall that little world-changing incident where the markets shut down etc... 9/11/01 I think was the datePonyBoy
- Don't talk to me anymore, your ideology gets in the way of you being a human.DrBombay
- 'Completely unregulated business' are you fucking kidding me? You think that's what happened?!? Low to nomathinc
- taxes?? Wtf? Was I in a coma the last 10 years? You're fucking insane and you need a reason why you're a loser.mathinc
- Must be those rich people keeping you down and out, forcing you to spend all your days being a blistering herpemathinc
- on an online forum every hour... of every day.mathinc
- You just don't get it Rick. You make success out to be an insurmountable 'thing' that is only had by those who are fed itmathinc
- from birth. Every person I know who is successful, with money, with some semblance of fame, was born without it. You knowmathinc
- what else they have in common? They don't spend 6 hours a day at an online water cooler.mathinc
- haha. and yea the banking was not a free market in anyway. it was free to go forth in the path carved by legislation.********
- dont confuse the free nature of economics as overall freedom, a lion in a cage, a channeled river.********
- or better yet. recognize where the cage is and see if it keeps you from everything else that is "free". like hey your free to smoke but not to buy cigs, is that really free?********
- smoke but not to hold a cigarette? Its a stolen concept of actual freedom.********
- I'm talking... to you dobby... you whiny baby... you can't handle a differing opinion or having your shitty comments put back in your...PonyBoy
- your face... you dish it like a fat slovenly cook but take it like sappy mindless bitch.PonyBoy
- Ok, so you want even less regulation then? Even less taxes then? That will solve all problems?DrBombay
- the strawman you paint me to be tommy, it is a figment of your retarded imagination. You put words in my mouth CONSTANTLYDrBombay
- constantly.DrBombay
- Stick with what said and not what you fucking heard, half wit. try that once.DrBombay
- Problem is that you think regulation makes you safe from greed. No sir. Oversight would be what we need. Regulation onlymathinc
- addresses what could be issues. How'd regulation on the lending industry work out? If there was someone providingmathinc
- oversight then maybe the issues would have been seen. Seems like everyone in the industry knew they were packagingmathinc
- shittier and shittier sets of loans. Regulations don't cover that. Oversight would have. You just have a half-baked sense of logicmathinc
- that's been provided to you. You have no ability to think. You're like a fish talking about what it's like to live in the desert.mathinc
- Oversight could be part of the regulations, you fucking wordsmith. SO we agree, now get off my elevator.DrBombay
- Who other than a regulating body would provide this oversight?DrBombay
- Oversight is regulation, whether you agree or not, it is...DrBombay
- Oversight is not regulation sir. Two different theories completely. Regulation is a reaction to the past or perceived issues in the future.mathinc
- issues in the future. Oversight deals with present issues and their possible effects.mathinc
- But you would implement oversight because of? Stop playing with words, monkeyboy. You're fucking wrong.DrBombay
- Don't bother responding to this train of notes, I am no longer clicking up here.DrBombay
- I'll respond...
You're a silly boy, dobby... unreasonable - unhappy... probably lonely too.PonyBoy - I've decided from now on I'm just going to take cheap shots so I can fit in with the tone in this thread.PonyBoy
- It works better than using your Dad's outdated ideology to try to sort things out.DrBombay
