    • ill be using the software mainly for my hobby of making giant robots. so im not earning off it.o_O
    • is maya the only real route for me though? or is there other opportunities with 3D and $ ?o_O
    • It sounds like you'd be interested in more of the modeling side of things -- I've heard that modo (mentioned above) is a good modeling tool but I'm really just a maya guykewHexton
    • here is my vector work.

    • i missed the modo link, it looks like a fit. or better than blender.o_O
    • yeah def talking about modeling which most programs above will allow you to do > just with different toolskewHexton
    • the base c4d pacage is under a grand. works well with AI files. download the trial and give it a go.Chief
    • I know C4D will import Illustrator curves. I suspect most if not all 3D programs can also. Looks like most of your work would be done with 3D primitive tools though.CyBrain
    • ... with 3D primitive tools: extruding cylinders, etc.CyBrain
    • i actually draw out everything you see. i may use an extrusion app for references.o_O
    • but everything you see, is drawn out with the pen tool.o_O
