    the PVA panel Dells are oversaturated, but you can fix it with a colorimeter and software. the problem with TN panels is that even if the color is not that bad, the viewing angle will be, and you will see contrast shifts at different angles, no way around this.

    regarding the comment above, the point of audio reference monitors is to have a neutral perspective, to reproduce every frequency at the same level and introduce no coloration. sure you could mix on crap speakers, but your results would be a random product of the shortcomings of your system. with a neutral reference you may have bad results on some inferior speakers, but you will have a much more consistent experience across ALL speakers, that's the point.

    • I hear they're difficult to set up even with a colorimeter. I'm not saying TN are an option, I'd get neither of these.raf
