Taxes are low and possibly you wont have to pay any if your salary is low...
The company hiring you should sponsor a Work Visa for you, pretty easy to get... far from the difficulties one might find to work in US.As far as Salary, i dont know what FT Designer stands for but i've heard salary is usually pretty low for graphic designers unless the company you will work for is big and really wants you... then you will get nice money.
