I don't have experience with the droid, only with the iphone, G1 and blackberry. I've found the iphone to be the far most intuitive, and capable of any other phone I've had. If you own a mac, then the iphone is an easy choice for syncing purposes. If you are not frightened of hacking/jailbreaking the iphone, then you can fix 90% of the most common iphone complaints.
I am currently using a G1 (just until I fix my water damaged iphone), but was using the iphone under t-mobile with an unlimited data/voice plan for $59/mo. T-Mobile also now supports hacked iphones. Just throwin it out there....
