    Actually, fashion campaigns tend to be much more focused on the renown of individual photographers—i.e. according to distinctions gained via editorials in specific magazines. Photographers in this capacity become very much their own brand, unlike many so called 'commercial' photographers whom art directors select at their own discretion to do other types of product and service branding campaigns. Fashion models (as opposed to 'commercial models') are also increasingly cast the same way.

    I work in this industry. Do you?
