    at an ultra quick glance:
    lose the rules between the main nav. there should be a better way to distinguish between sections...if it really even needs that.

    drop the italicized links. just make them bold or a slightly darker color. the italics with the non anti-aliasing looks weird.

    any chance you can get some none stock photos/graphics? the image on the right doesn't look horrible, but the image on the left is pretty bad.
