  I starting to think - just use the css3 stuff - making sure that it degrades for older browsers. On IE6 I don't care if it an element/button rounded corners, they can be square, it won't change the UX. More advanced browsers that utilize the radius attrib. will look better without extra markup (divs and spans) and allow for a lot more flexibility.
