I don't host where I keep my domains, but I don't get what's wrong with keeping them both at one place?
Godaddy are pushing their rubbish services onto you all the time in very unpleasant ways, you have to learn how to get around their panel.
I once bought a domain with them at a godaddy auction, that took me to pay for a bogus auctions membership. When they autocharged me for this membership a year later, I took my domains from them.
Also, Godaddy charges extra for whois info masking, a lot of hosts do it for free now.- if you have a dispute with your host, you can just move your domain elsewhere.acescence
