I wish I bought more than I did. if I lived in a bigger art market I'd be looking at the newer artists and trying to collect what I liked.
Bought a John Morris drawing for a few hundred $ several years ago on a NYC trip. Recently found out that comparable drawings of his now fetch a few thousand a piece. Not looking to sell because I like the piece so much, but it is confirmation of value in some way. Have about half a dozen pieces around the house that have matured as well, mostly limited edition prints.
