  Nothing I did has been used (yet) and this whole process was over 2 months for a position that is new. So I understand them requesting all this work and I don't think it was foolish of me to put this much effort in a job that would have paid well over six figures.

  Anyways, I have requested to be compensated so we'll see what happens.

  Thanks for all the responses. The serious and helpful one's at least.
