    Ask your new employer how they would feel if you gave no notice. It will alert them to the fact that you are a solid employee that can be counted on. This usually works for me. 2 weeks is the standard.

    Should they need more than two weeks be prepared with an hourly consulting rate so that you can double down and earn some extra cash. Be generous to yourself when figuring said rate and responsibilities you will be undertaking as you will be really swamped.
