Meeklo, you are correct MySpace is currently #1, in that all musicians are on there...
I shouldn't say Facebook is the best route to go either, because it's limited to your friends, and you can't just friend strangers and promote to them... but, Facebook does integrate audio in a number of silly ways, such as the ReverbNation tab you can add to your profile (MyBand). Facebook is best for promoting to your friends...
MySpace's days are numbered, though, because everyone is constantly looking for a viable alternative. Although it hasn't shown up yet, I'm increasingly annoyed with MySpace's crazy table layouts, slow page loading, etc... and people aren't checking their accounts like they once did. It almost feels like people are just using MySpace as the default, begrudgingly, until something better comes along...
