for IR I use an old fuji S2pro SLR. Not many cameras have no IR cut off filter over the chip and having it removed sounds scary to me.
I used the hoya R-72 filter for these.
This one shows a shot before it is converted to BxW. I play with the white balance to get the effect I want.
