Yeah, i came across that, i think Roeg's comments in the Cammel documentary following his suicide are also illuminating in that he gives full credit to Cammel re: the themes of the film.
But Roeg WAS involved from the start and not only in terms of photography but also the cut-up editing style which is a Roeg TRADEMARK (as seen in films such as Walkabout, the man who fell...etc.)
It's all a much of a muchness really. Overall i think it would be fair to say that they both co-directed it, tho i wuzn't born at the time.
