oh, they sure do. and I do not mean the ones *in* the industry, as they are mostly regular people who have to deal with statements like this on a daily basis and sometimes even "invent" them and make sure this shit sounds "great". those pips know exactly what it means.
the actual customers do buy the marketing shit. basically, if not this belief, that this timepiece (or this phone) is so cool and made of leather and re-assembled twice (hello, IWC) and blah blah — there is no reason to buy it. there is no story to tell your friends about your purchase. there is just no reason to justify why you have just spent twice as much for a watch then last week for a car.also, A. Lange & Söhne is in fact considered *inside* the luxury industry as the best watch out there. the presentations of some of the watch brands show them at the paramount of the luxury segment. and this gets even more funny to hear a judgement about a german watch from a swiss watch manufacturer.
