I've never used Freehand, only Illustrator. But if the vector tools in Freehand are anything like the vector tools in Flash, I'll have to say it is most likely a horrible vector application. I'm guessing Freehand has much better vector functionality, since adding an anchor point to a path in Flash is almost an impossible task. It CAN do it, it's even in the help file, but I'll be damned if myself or anyone at work has been able to do it more than once or twice.
