I'm just trying to provide some "alternative views".

(not that anyone should give a f@#k) I've defined my philosphical/polital beliefs through rational inquiry and my own experience. This is what's wrong with intellectual discourse in today's culture--anyone that disagrees with someone is "spewing lies" "brainwashed" or "not thinking for themselves" (and there's plenty of that going around on all sides)

There is an entire environmentalist INDUSTRY using scare tactics to raise money, and their interests are more self preservation(and obfusacted political agendas) than making sure people have clean air to breathe.

(It's pretty easy to be "for" vague concepts like "clean air"--actually this is a classic propaganda technique)

--on a side note, some excellent books on Propaganda/methods:

Propaganda: The Formation of Men's Attitudes
    by Jacques Ellul

    Coersion
    by Douglas Rushkoff

    i digress.....

the issues involved are certainly more complex than protest chants + bumperstickers
