i do have major issues
font issuesi use font explorer x for font management and that seems to be where things went wrong for me
after the installation/upgrade i noticed in font explorer that about half of the system font files were now missing. i went from i think 300 something to 146 fonts total in my system fonts
the font issues that came up:
address book randomly displaying everything as bold, italic and large fonts
mail displaying things as italics and bolds
firefox' interface font being screwed up and several websites displaying fonts incorrectlyi fixed the first 2 issues by cleaning the system font cache and system font folders
the firefox/websites issue seems to have something to do with duplicates. for example the system has a helvetica activated. i however have the adobe helveticas activated too. deactivating all the fonts of the same families as the ones in the system fonts seemed to have fixed a large chunk of this firefox font problem.
it's still a pain in the ass though, hopefully apple comes with a fix. i dont have the time to do a clean install
i was wondering if taking the standard system fonts folders off of another leopard installation and putting them on mines would work (if i would deactivate all my other fonts and perhaps throw font explorer off and reinstall)
other than this issue i like snow leopard
it's definitely faster
it gets a bit buggy in spaces/expose though
