get a fast hd. got a 17" mbp 4gigs of ram and performance sucks becuase of slow hd. of course if u want a workhorse just build a pc desktop on the cheap. or a more expensive mac if u care about the OS so much...... OSX's are friggin ram hogs. if u really want performance u should go windows.
- with snow leopard and 64bit etc is the ram not more evenly spaced out for better performance?mirrorball
