  rusty_ace & Projectile, cheers for that. Though the issue I've got is that the document I'm supplying will be placed on various images of differing res, scale and dimensions. If I use a set action or smart object, they'll only be relative to the document size and dimensions that I give it to them as. So once they drag my artwork into a different document, it's all gonna be out of sync. My other thought was to use a smart object and alter the canvas size according to what the image might be, but this results in the displacement disappearing.
