dnb started to suck when everyone made the transition from hardware studios to software. it used to take years of investing in gear to make good stuff so you really had to have musical talent and a strong desire to make it. once everyone started using software dnb was taken over by a bunch of hyperactive kids on the internet with a bunch of pirated software and the same samples everyone else was using. that being said there are still innovative producers in drum and bass. quarantine has always been a top notch label, guys like break, d-bridge, and fierce. commix new fabric mix album is a great example of the best of the new stuff coming out these days.
