Before going solo I worked for a husband/wife team. He rarely and sporadically came into the office, basically managed the finances and benefits. He stayed at home with their two kids. She was the face of the company, design director, etc.
I think it works out pretty well for them, although if I personally was in his shoes I'd feel castrated—but I'm wired very differently than he is. I won't mention anything publicly about any awkward moments I may or may not have witnessed.
