Actually, I have great respect for most cops most of the time, and the job in general, because if someone was breaking into my house with murderous intent at 4 in the morning, I would simply pick up the phone and expect a group of highly trained strangers to come and take care of it for me, and for the most part, they would..
However, with regard to the rave thing, the first time I dropped an E and we did an illegal party, I did get beaten up by the police, although in my frame of mind, I was more confused than scared or outraged. We later sat in the policestation waiting for my friend to be released from the cells, gurning like idiots, reading the newspaper upside down and making genuinely good friends with the desk sargeant. It was before they were really trained to spot things like wobbly jaws and huge pupils. Then we got back to my friends apartment and their babysitter had hanged himself to death.
