all good points. i agree that it could be a lack of a companies interviewing "skills." but i can also see how some people could have faux or portfolios that don't merit their actual real world work.
i've personally never encountered this, but a friend of mine came across this today and it really threw me at first. also considering the employer isn't really the opportunity of a life time.
but like blaw said, they are driving.
