nobody has to tip. It is what you give as a token of appreciation. if that fucking latte is fantastic this time around, or they gave you a large instead of a small because you're a regular, maybe you appreciate it and you feel like tipping. fuck, maybe you don't. as a former bartender, barback, security host, etc., I appreciated the hell out of tips because that's how I made my living; so I provided the best service possible for the customer. and for every asshole that didn't tip me on a 7 drink order or $300 bar tab, there was someone who'd drop me a $100 tip for making the 3 best shots they'd had yet on their trip to Vegas.
