    there is a big difference between making minimum wage or more and just hoping to split the tip jar at night, or making a living off your tips.

    i have worked in both waitressing and awful food counter jobs, we were never allowed to put tip jars out, i find tip jars rude and unnecessary. if you make minimum wage or more and want more money then get another job! on the other hand tipping a waitress or bartender is not an option that is their pay and your fucking delusional if you think you have a choice to tip them or not.
