i would utilize the EES combination rather that the DEG, as the EES has the same visual rhythm as 118. plus you can add the ยบ symbol at the end of the word mark without it interfering. i would looks for a stronger and more geometric typeface and use your first direction as a starting point. ditch the dot symbol as it adds nothing to the composition.
