    For me, stress level and level of random insanity is more important than pay. Ironically, the jobs I had in the past that paid more gave less stress and random insanity, probably because they respected a person they paid more....

    My current freelance gigs are often a pricing game, and a waiting game, and a "we're not sure about the budget" game... and lots of meetings... Strangely, the reduced budgets wouldn't be bad if they didn't also have such indecision, resulting in MORE pitch meetings at the same time as the reduced budgets, thus resulting in about $500-$1000 worth of time being spent convincing the client to actually do the job, before actually getting started....
