For Skateboarders: Most of you are posers. Skateboarding is the new football. You're a bunch of jocks, except worse because most jocks actually have a real interest in the sport they do. 99% of the skateboarders I've met stand around with their board more than they skate it. It's like a purse. They just hold it. And then they bitch about how they want to be sponsored and talk about how they wanna be just like (insert pro skateboarders with mtv show here). And the corporate shit amazes me. For an "underground culture", your pros sure jump at every opportunity to sell out for some corporation thats just gonna drop them as soon as skateboarding isn't cool again. These companies pay for pros to represent them but I'd bet if you went to their corporate headquarters they'd kick your ass out for skating there too. I mean, come on, Nike Skateboarding? Are you serious? So, what's my point? Well, the culture of skateboarding is bankrupt. That's why it amused me that skateboarders are the first to talk shit on other sports when they sold out without a second thought. Skateboarding is dead. If you don't believe me go down to the mall where they sell skateboarding brands in the Buckle right next to the Lucky Jeans or take a trip to your local park where parents drop off their little ones to be babysat by organized classes that teach you how to skateboard, as if it were soccer or baseball or something less than a personal pursuit.

    • the rant isn't against you surface, sorry, just had to get it out of my system.itsmitch
