The company deals almost specifically with rehabilitation of underdeveloped or abandoned homes. There is zero business to final consumer interaction so the black chip reference (while I do agree with you Janne about having to be sensitive) has a specific meaning here. The group involved are very savvy, very well off, lifetime real estate prospectors and developers. It's kind of sad to me, they get the gambling reference and like it.
