Wasn't Britain the only European country sane enough to treat democracy as an experiment and have the monarch keep their hand on the lever in case it fails?
Can the Queen formally take over or am I making stuff up? She can in Australia, can't she?Actually, 2/3 of Liechtenstein population voted in 2003 for constitution giving their monarchy even more power than before. They seem to be doing well..
