NK is mostly hot air. It's an annoyance. Sure he has a few crude atomic bombs, but no delivery system. In a conventional event, in the short term Seoul would get messed up pretty bad, but it's a no win. NK army has no food, no supplies, although they can parade around with near-obsolete weapons in a square quite well. China will not have their back if they continue to be the assholes they are currently being. They are simply a small, contained, controllable cancer. Knocking off Kim Jong-Il would do nothing, as he has two sons in the wings, almost equally nutzoid, plus the rest of the ruling junta is two dozen geriatric generals. Keep control of the guy, keep the diplomatic pressure up and NK will go the way of East Germany in under a decade. Unless you want to risk Seoul, and adding a probably quickly re-militarized Japan to the Asian mid-term political equation.

    • +1: there's not an extreme real threat of this guy harming the US. The rest can be handled by China.free_
