  Head towards Glasgow Airport then follow signs for the Erskine bridge, head towards Helensburgh (seaside town) there you can stop for breakfast & take in Hill House.

  Head North on the A814 which is waterfront, hills etc all the way you will pass Faslane where the nuclear subs are kept and the Women's (hippy) peace camp has been since the early 80's. Keep your eyes open for Glen Fruin Rd (great drive) and follow it to Loch Lomond. That should take up part of the morning for you.
