astrology is not completely false. Some gene activations in kids and therefore behaviors can be correlated to hormonal fluctuations in the womb during a season of the year, like winter. So being born at different times makes some difference.
But it's 6000 years old, it has not changed much since then, so even if someone in ancient Ur did a scientific survey and quantified behaviors then wrote down a table of expected behaviors that had correlations to seasons of 0.4 and above, the genetic makeup of humans has changed since then and so did the climate.
So 99% of the apparent accuracy should be due to the Forer effect, which has it's own practical uses. For example, through the Bible, which is written in the same vague style, people can be convinced not to do certain annoying things.
