    So, the saga continues...

Since my first post, over 6 weeks ago, and I'm only now beginning to see the light at the end of the kidney stone tunnel.

In the last 6 weeks, I've been to the Hospital once, and had to have a paramedic called out to treat me (whilst in a motorway service station no less). At no point could either do more than administer pain relief, as I was away from my local hospital and they didn't have my records to perform an op.

I've now had a couple of xrays, and one CT scan. The CT scan revealed an 8 x 8 x 12mm stone sat in my bladder. The doc reckons that this is what's been causing my excruciating pain. In light of this, he's put me down on the 'urgent' list to have an op. The timeframe for this 'urgent' op? anywhere up to 4 weeks!!

So, anytime within the next 4 weeks, I could have another bad episode, which usually entails massive bloating, huge pain in my kidneys (like being kicked repeatedly in the back) and the aforementioned excruciating pain in the bladder. I can't wait.

I never thought that there'd be a time where I'd be really happy for someone (a doctor) to go up my little fella and start poking around... but I really can't wait for this to be over!

I mean, there's no way of passing a stone that big! ouch.
