you're a little harsh with the tone of your message, mranon6. but i do tend to agree with you. as someone who would want to see overall composition, use of color, grid structure and attention to detail, taking these kinds of pictures don't help you.
with these kind of "clean sites" your work should want to POP off the page to counteract the cleanliness of your design.
