I've been told the test is a piece of piss over here. Just do it and be thankful you're not in the UK...

Over there you first need to pass the Theory Test, AND a Hazard Perception Test (video of a driving car where you click when you see a hazard).

The Practical Test lasts for 40 minutes and includes a vision test (license plate at a distance), 3 out of 5 special maneuvers (parallel park, emergency stop, turn in road, reverse round corner and one other which I can't remember), AND you have to take a practical test on the functions of the engine.

Pain in the fucking arse. Took me six months of lessons before I could take my test.

    • Er. whups.

    • And the roads are much narrower and there are roundabouts. Plus no turn on red. And more pedestrians.5timuli
    • The woman who gave me my written test here said the practical is just a drive round the block! :D5timuli
