    If you don't log your data on to the computer, and don't participate on the challanges, or set new goals, or training programs, maybe you are right.

    But the speedometer part like someone said, its just %20 of what this thing does..
    I would say its closer to a videogame, where instead of pushing buttons you run. You can race at your convenience with and against people around the world.

    It keeps detailed track of all your runs, (day/ night, speed, distance, etc) and you can compare it visually (you will appreciate the design and functionality of the online app) you can set yearly goals, in terms of speed, calories burn, distance, etc and the app will let you know how close/far are you to achieve that goal, and how often you need to run to achieve it
