I think I'm going to talk to my Psychology teacher about my plans... she's big into Native American culture (she's a PhD, published a couple books on the subject apparently, and frequently lives with the midwestern tribes...) so maybe she can help me locate a tribe in or around Arizona. That way I could get two things done at once– have a place to stay between TX and CA and maybe get to participate in some of their rituals and such. I've heard the sweat lodge is quite an experience...
- they'd love to give you secrets wasichu. if you're interested in a sweat, just look for one near Sedona.jaylarson
- Nah! I used to hang with a local tribe and play music with them as a kid. I heard the western tribes were a little different so I'm curious how their lives/beliefs differ (or if I can even tell).ismith
