Well what I wore was overkill on my last job interview. I got the job but I was wearing classic dress shirt, tie, suit jacket, black pants, and tied it off with dress shoes. I'm never dressing like that again.
The age old question is what is consider ok to wear if its a corporate. If its low-key studio type, I'll definitely dress down, I think the option of "anything goes" is one of the perks of being in the design field.
