Good search engine optimisation can be achieved with good coding and design practice as well as good content, that is true.
Moth, if you find yourself designing a lot of websites then it's a good idea to read up a bit about this kind of stuff. This will make sure your designs "work" in that sense and that some SEO guy doesnt come along and arse about your designs.
If you know a decent amount then you can sell that as the benefits of a client choosing you over someone else, you can give them a decent amount of chance in SEO within the same cost. Then if you need more professional SEO advice then have a company you know and can trust to give value for money advice.
The perfect scenario for clients would be to pay for SEO based on the performance of the work that has been done for them.
You pay a fee up front then pay a balance based on the results.
This sort of pricing model would see all the genuine SEO companies soar and gain more and more clients and it would see all the bullsh*tters (lol i just realised i asterisk'd the word bull previously and not the word sh*t - the offending word lol) flushed down the pan with their crap services.- why would SEO effect the design?trooperbill
- your also making the classic mistake of thinking that seo is like coding, its not, its marketingtrooperbill
