    I worked in the Netherlands for a year until about 3 months ago.

    you need to get a company to hire you, and ask for a verblijfs document for you.

    It takes between 3-6 months to get it (usually more towards the 6).

    Then, when you get there, you still can't work until you get approval from the foreigner police (yes, I know).

    It took me 3 additional months.

    It was definately not worth it. Worse carreer decision i ever made. I never even want to go back for a visit. Everything is unprofessional (except, maybe for Dutch type foundries). The Dutch are very nasty to foreigners living there.
