Glad to read this thread. I'd forgot that this place I am at now isn't the only one with horrible CDs. I had almost forgotton that - most places I'd worked at before this current one had been with fairly good ones.
So, OP, if it is to any relief, at this place I've been told:
"You're not Japanese. You should act American!"
(I'm Swedish)"That's an excuse. But hey, I am just like you; I like making excuses. But you can't do it here, it's not good. You can't work here if you do that"
(I said I needed more than 1 day to design a pitch of competing quality for Japans largest record label)1st month of the new cd: "Hey, all that matters is good design. You don't need perfect Japanese. Were gonna do great this year"
2nd month: "Your Japanese isn't good enough. We are reducing your salary by 20%".
(Granted, it's not perfect, I'm not native. But I do find the 180 bummingly funny)
