well, one thing I was doing wrong was using level0 from my actions layer at the top of the movie which covered my close button. Here's my new problem. I'm loading the movie with this script:
loadMovie("promo/portfolio.swf", "_root.buttonTrailerTransition.p...
or, based on a variable loading two different possible movies.
the movie dissappears as soon as it appears.
