It looks fucking ridiculous - if it's an instantly obvious one like starbucks coffee or an apple computer then it just serves to highlight that brand and implies a negative relationship between the program being show and that brand, and if it's not obvious what the brand is then it just looks like the program is trying to hide something from the viewer, in the style of a censor, and it damages the credibility of the program brand. It pisses me off - brands need to just grow up and realise that if they put their mark on an object, then really it's going to be out of their control who sees it and under what cirumcstances. Public is public, be it on tv or out in the street, so either have the grace to make a product that doesnt have your logomark splattered all over it, which - incidently also pisses me off as it turns everything everyone owns into a constant fucking advertisement, OR just stfu about it.
