Just be careful. I fly a cessna 172 and the tendency is to fly at dangerously slow speeds and low altitudes to get the shot...a reciepe for a deadly stall. Actually that happened this last year here with some students studying and taking photos of migrating birds...too much equipment...flying on the edge of stall speed, low altitude...bad day.
don't want to scare you but...Helicopter...the way to go for aerial photography IMO.
