of course it is and if that's the tool of your choosing then great but blanket statements based around your personal work methodology is ridiculous. some people use photoshop only, some illustrator only, hell i know a few that use indesign only. do whatever you like, that's the whole point. use the method that you find the most useful for the way you design.
it's just tiring to hear broad statements from people who - and i mean no offence - but who have at best a couple of years experience professionally, telling the world how it runs simply because they're the kind of person who seem to think the way they work is the only way.
