got it.
what I would do :
1) copy paste the whole artwork (keep the original artwork in place it will be usefull for steps further).
2)make a pathfinder between the mask and the rectangle, without worring about the gradient.
3/once every pathfinder are done, redo gradient on each using Shift with the colour pick and click on each extremity of the gradients on original artwork rectangles.
put each rectangle on a separated layer, and you should be fine.I hope this helps.
